Wednesday morning, 4 September
Walking tour in the Jewish quarter with synagogue visits
Total time: 2 hours
Meeting time: 9.15 a.m.

Once, Central and Eastern Europe was home to the biggest Jewish community in the world. Today, the largest Jewish population of Central Europe lives in Hungary. Our tour will give you a chance to learn about the history of the Jewish people in Hungary and Budapest, the Holocaust and the present-day life of the community.
During the tour we will visit the Dohány Street Synagogue, which is the largest synagogue in Europe and the second largest in the world. Then the Rumbach Sebestyén Street Synagogue, which is one of the most unique and beautiful synagogues in Hungary. Both are built in the Moorish style and located in the historical Jewish quarter and the ghetto that operated during the Holocaust. More information: https://jewishtourhungary.com/en

Dinner cruise on the Danube river
Total time: 3 hours

The dinner will be organised as a dinner cruise on Danube River with a stunning evening panorama of Budapest. MS Prestige opens its’ gates at 19:30 and starts the cruise at 20:00. During the two and half hours tour you can enjoy the capital’s night lights and view some of our wonderful Danube bridges.

Hungarian Parliament tour with a professional guide
Total time: 1h

Meeting point: the entrance of the House of Parliament Visitor Centre
Guided tour of the Hungarian Parliament Building, which is the third largest Parliament building in the world. Since 2000, the Holy Crown of Hungary has been on display in the central Domed Hall of the building.
Saturday afternoon, 7 September
Guided tour in the Castle District of Budapest
Total time: 3 hours
Participation fee: 25 EUR
Meeting time: 2 p.m.
Meeting point: front entrance to the conference venue (Ráday House)
We will take public transportation which takes us directly to the castle. After taking a look at the main sights of the Holy Trinity square we will visit the Matthias church, and then continuie our walk on the Tóth Árpád promenade, to learn about the caves and bunkers inside of the hill. Here we will discover some medieval secrets of the neighbourhood and will get a panorama view of Buda. Arriving at Saint George's square, we approach the castle itself. After the walk, the guests are free to stay for a drink and snack at Aranybástya Függőkert.
